I have stayed at many hostels in Turkey and internationally and have to say this is the best one I have ever stayed at! The rooms cannot be faulted. Comfy beds each with their own lamp, power sockets x2, shelf, curtains and cupboard, and the toilets and showers are large, spacious and clean! Above all, the staff are the most friendly and helpful I have come across. They helped us check shuttle times and taxi fares, and recommended places to visit. The bar/terrace is a plus, the breakfast is served there, food is good and fresh, unlimited coffee and tea on demand. This is the nicest hostel I've stayed in my whole time in Turkey! This has got to be the best hostel I've stayed at... Best hostel I’ve ever stayed in! Certainly at least in turkey. And that’s really saying a lot for me. Facilities spotless and perfect. Hot, rainfall shower. Wonderfully run hostel, the vibe remained consistent whether day or night, I thought the staff were family! Started with two days booked but by the first morning I booked for 5 more days! Spacious and comfy beds and good location First planning to go elsewhere, around midnight I decided to head for Sakura instead as this was more central. Very close to the dolmus busstation, and less than 30 mn walk from Otogar, this is great fall-out place to make trips in the vicinity. The (very tasty and authentic fishmarket was the highlight of this stop for the foodie in me, and this is conveniently just around the corner. If here, go here for dinner! Dorms arent too big. Beds super comfy with enough space to put your stuff and privacy (and no annoying light) because of the curtains. Clean sheets. Towels available at extra charge, same for breakfast. Great shower. Staff one of the most friendly I have encountered, and will act as your Turkish spokesperson if necessary (my tour went ...unplanned). Possibility to use kitchen upstairs was great. Lacked some atmosphere when I was there, but I was there during low season so there werent too many travellers around. Small balcony with pretty view. At night it's quiet. The location is perfect, close to to the waterfront, restaurants, shopping and all the attractions. There's a gorgeous view from the dining area on the roof, and also a kitchen you can use for preparing your own food. The staff at Sakura were fantastically friendly and helpful. I went on a long trek on the Lycian Way and left some luggage at the hostel; they kept it safe for me for nearly a month. In short, staying in Sakura was marvelous. Every now and again comes a hostel that blows your mind away, and Sakura Hostel is definitely one of those gems. From the moment you walk in, you can tell something is different here; it's in the courtesy of the staff (everyone is so professional), and everything is spotless and brand new -- wow, what a treat! The Location The location of the hostel is perfect, it's on a main street, just a few blocks away from the waterfront and pretty much in the cute and funky Old Town. Within a short walking distance, you'll find shops, bars, clubs, restaurants, the fish market, the bus station, and everything else you may need! Rooms and Bathrooms We don't even know where to begin, as we love everything! The rooms might just have one of the best designs we've ever seen in a hostel, with personal curtains for privacy, a drawer locker under the bed you can use with your own lock, a huge shelf next to your bed, personal lamps and power sockets. Everything is so convenient and they seem to have thought about everything! Bathroom and showers are en suite and are so fancy, we felt like we had entered a boutique hotel! There's so much space, there's a pampering rain shower, and even the tissues are exceptionally soft -- we feel like we've died and gone to hostel heaven. Common Spaces There are some chairs in the lobby, a small book exchange, and some maps and brochures in the reception area, but the true gem is the rooftop terrace. There's lots of tables, couches to hang out, and a nice view of the town, as it's not too big and you're pretty much in the center. They serve breakfast up there -- it costs extra, but it's nice and filling. At night, there's also a bar that serves drinks and snacks, including alcohol! There is also a little communal kitchen for guests to use; it's not very thoroughly equipped, but it's got the basics. There is Wi-Fi throughout the hostel -- it's pretty decent, although a bit slow at times. They also offer many tours and can help book local attractions and the staff are super friendly and gracious and would love to give you help or advice about exploring the area. "Wonderful hostel" Can't recommend this hostel highly enough. Came here at the end of my walk of the Likya Yolu. What a prefect place to rest and relax. Ended up staying for five days! It was pretty quiet due to being out of season but the manager and staff were lovely and made me feel very welcome. As for the facilities, couldn't really ask for better. Each (very comfy) bed has curtains, lamp and two power sockets. The bathroom is fantastic with two huge shower rooms. The roof terrace has a bar and small guest kitchen. С балкона нашего номера открывался потрясающий вид на старый город, еще круче вид с террасы для завтрака. А душ!!! Это лучший душ и туалет за все время нашего двухнедельного путешествия! Даже в более дорогих отелях не было такого, а для хостела это очень и очень круто! отдельное спасибо парню на ресепшене, который с радостью ответил на все наши вопросы! I stayed in the 8 bed female dorm. The room was good. Bit stuffy at night. The bathroom was great and modern. Perfect shower pressure. Very clean. No vibe really. No one in the common area. It's very new and very clean, modern , with private bathrooms for each dorm. The curtains of the bunk beds are cancelling all light so that you won't be disturbed by the other guests - at least not by the lights ;) it's very conveniently located by the marina if your plan is to get on a boat trip. A beautiful hostel, kept spotlessly clean, it was comfortable, had an amazing bathroom (the best showers in a hostel I've ever had) a great location, and the staff were so so friendly, they always made an effort to talk with us, and made us feel very welcome. "Modern and Comfortable" Its placed at the heart of the old city. Crew was friendly, helpful and the room was clean. Breakfast was quite good for a hostel. i recommend it for backpackers and couples but they have only one suit. (Tripadvisor)
